From Andrea Mowry
The Tessellated Cardigan is a comfy, drop-shoulder cardigan that is the perfect way to showcase this beautiful stitch pattern in the color combos of your dreams! Depending on if you choose high or low contrast colors, it completely changes the look. Instructions include options for both cropped & full length. It is worked flat from the bottom up. The shoulders are shaped with short rows and finished using the 3 needle bind off. The sleeves & button band are then picked up from the body and knit.
The kit does not include the pattern. You can purchase the pattern on Ravelry.
Sizing
The cardigan has 10 sizes. The finished bust measurements are 34”, 38”, 42”, 46”, 50”, 54”, 58”, 62”, 66” and 70”.
The kit will show the largest size that the kit will make.
All kits are for the cropped version. If you want to make the longer version please contact the store.
Yarns – we have used Andrea’s yardages for our kits. We have rounded up to make sure you have enough. Depending on your tension you could have leftover yarn.
A – the pattern calls for Sport.
We have used
Biches & Buches Le Petit Lambswool (this is fingering but many people have used fingering for the cardigan, vest and sweater) – shown as BB in kit
or
Madelinetosh Woolcycle Sport – shown as tosh in kit
or
Juniper Moon Patagonia – shown as JM in kit
B – Spincycle Dyed in the Wool (skeins in the picture) or Schoppel Starke 6 (balls in the picture – you could end up with a full ball left over if you are making the 46” size. We went with Andrea’s yardages and don’t want to short you but it is close to only being one ball and not two).
